1. All residents must be enrolled in a Summer Session course associated with the dates of their housing contract.
2. If you are a visiting student, final payments must be received prior to date of check-in. If you are a full-time UC Berkeley student with an established CARS account, final payment amount may not be posted until after move-in date. Please follow CARS payment guidelines.
3. Room assignments will not be given until check-in date. To receive your room assignment and keys, please visit the front desk of the Unit you are assigned.
4. To terminate your contract, please provide written correspondence (summerhousing@berkeley.edu) including your full name, Student identification number, and reason for termination. Please also read Terms and Conditions for termination policy.
5. There is no deadline for submitting your application. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Because space is limited, we recommend that you apply for housing early in order to ensure the best chance for you to secure a housing offer.
CHECKLIST
Newly Admitted Students (No Student Identification Number)
- Register with UC Berkeley Summer Session Office
- Apply for Housing
- Accept Housing Offer prior to the expiration date
- Pay $100 Deposit
- Pay Remainder Due (must be received prior to check-in date)
- Check-In
- Go to Cal 1 Card office
Full-time Students (With Student Identification Number)
- Apply for Housing
- Register in UC Berkeley Course
- Accept Housing Offer prior to the expiration date
- Pay $100 Deposit
- Final Payment made through CARS account (may not be posted until after check-in date)
- Check-In
